Fortnite Strategy: Friends

Posted by marshalloak on April 17, 2018 at 1:00 PM

Fortnite has a set three game modes, and sometimes a fourth gamemode that can vary from a bunch of different game modes like blitz, 20 v 20 v 20 v 20 v 20, 50 v 50, sneaky silencers, high explosives etc. Although fun to play by yourself it is much more fun to play with a friend. For these experiences if you have one friend you want to play with you can play duos, where it is usually 50 teams of 2. Or if you have more than one friend but less than 4 in total, you could play squads. Usually playing with friends can be more fun because when you work together you can do better and when you make mistakes there could be less of a repercussion because you can rely on your teammates. That being said, if your teammates are cheeks, playing in groups may not be a wise decision unless you are playing for fun. When that happens to me, it makes me think of a semi famous anonymous quote “When I die, I want my teammates to lower me in my grave so that they can let me down one last time.” For me personally I tend to avoid group settings because it will lead to nothing but our entire squad getting statutorily raped by literally anyone because of their inability to have any sort of game sense, hand-eye coordination, communication skills or a slim piece of skill it takes to do well in fortnite. That aside, if you are so lucky to have friends that are not clapped at fortnite, consider yourself lucky.

Consider these tips as something useful to you: First be sure to stick together. As soon as you split up you will begin to have problems. If you are playing duos this is less of a problem as you will only ever have to take on two to three people at once. If you are split up, your teammates, no matter how inadequate they are, are still there to help you get to the end and should ideally be a help to win battles. This is not always the case. If they just that bad, you may just suggest they refer to the first blog post strategy (linked here) and hide in a bush as you do your due diligence and wipe squads as your teammates attempt to do anything helpful.

Finally be sure to share your materials. If once again your teammates are physically inapt keep everything for yourself, otherwise share so that you will all be able to contribute to the group cause rather than your own.
